Basically, bandwidth means how "wide" your broadcasting channel will be.

2.4Ghz networks have sầu two options: 20MHz (the "normal" bandwidth) và 40MHz (doubled). It is HIGHLY recommended that you only use 20MHz-wide channels, as using a 40MHz channel will overlap with others, causing a decrease in performance or, generally speaking, troubles. (This is different if you live in an area with no other WiFi activity, however note that some devices are not compatible with 40MHz channels).

On the other hvà, 5GHz network will benefit from 40MHz channels (in some cases you could also reach 80MHz, but again this will probably cause stability or performance issues).

More bandwidth = faster, given than you"re not overlapping signal from other access points around you

If you don"t have 2.4Ghz devices, shut the 2.4Ghz off completely and use 5Ghz only.

ima gonna say 11mbs since it is going to automatically downgrade your bandwidth to lớn the lowest connected device. I would loông chồng it in N or G & N for the 2.4. the trăng tròn & 20/40 is the channel width. This can increase the individual items bandwidth but with the amount of wireless/ devices on corporate networks it kicking inkhổng lồ the 40 width usually causes issues & degrades performance. I locked the 2.4 band at my house to đôi mươi width và wireless n mode và can pull about 150mbs down on average through the 2.4 band. The 5 band can max out my internet pipe.

If he needs decent coverage, you need lớn keep 2.4 GHz enabled. 5GHz works fantastic when you are cthua kém with no obstacles in the way, but put even 1 wall between you và the APhường & it really knocks down the signal.

OP: keep the settings as they are. They should do you just fine.
